Zachary Sears is a freelance cellist with a deep commitment to musical storytelling. Whether performing solo Bach suites or anchoring a string quartet at a wedding, he brings an expressive and grounded presence to every stage.
Trained at DePaul University and The Hartt School, Zachary has performed across New England and beyond — collaborating with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo artists spanning classical, contemporary, and genre-crossing repertoire.
Beyond the concert hall, Zachary is a dedicated educator, guiding students of all ages toward a lasting and joyful relationship with the cello and with music itself.
